INTERCONNECTED

One Tribe

Excerpt #121 from my book, Religion, An Obstacle to Human Progress

Every one of us, every human being, is part of one people, one life, i.e., the web of life.

The brutality of nationalism and patriotism and every other “ism” divides us.

There is only one human tribe: humanity.

Today, we stand on the threshold of comprehending the oneness and the interlocking whole of which we are a part.

Interdependent 3

It informs us that life is not assured—it is dependent upon the interrelationships by which it is sustained.

HOW CAN THERE BE HAPPINESS WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE SUFFER AND DIE NEEDLESSLY EVERY DAY?

Until we understand and acknowledge that ignorance, illiteracy, poverty, hunger, suffering, and disease make victims of us all, we will never be safe from their consequences.

These, unequivocally, are the weapons of mass destruction on Earth.
